Introductory Module to Environmental Citizenship and Education for Environmental Citizenship

Environmental citizenship is a key concept in the vision for a sustainable world. The European Network for Environmental Citizenship (ENEC), which was established as COST Action, conceptualized Environmental Citizenship. This module aims to introduce the ENEC COST Action, as well as its objectives and common conceptualization of Environmental Citizenship. It also aims to present an overview of the main characteristics of Education for Environmental Citizenship and explain how to measure and assess it. Additionally, it provides information about teacher professional development practices that promote EEC, and it summarizes the EEC model and its four key quadrants.
