Pedro Reis is an Associate Professor (accredited as Full Professor) in Science Education at “Instituto de Educação, Universidade de Lisboa”. He works as invited professor in several universities from Brazil, Colombia and Spain.
He holds a PhD and a MEd in education, and a BSc degree in biology. He researches about: a) socio-scientific issues; b) youth activism; c) environmental citizenship; and d) Web 2.0.
He has been involved with projects in Europe, Africa and Latin America (supported by the EU, the World Bank, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and several governments). He is a counsellor at the Portuguese National Council of Education and the Vice-Chair at the “European Network for Environmental Citizenship”.
